Romantic Garden Wedding at The Grand Resort
Some weddings are defined by a single statement piece. Others are defined by the way every detail works together to create a feeling.
For Heather and Brandon, that feeling was romance.
What makes their celebration even more remarkable is that the entire wedding was planned and designed in just over six months.
When Heather first reached out, she and Brandon had a date in mind and a venue on hold, but before moving forward, they wanted to know whether the wedding they envisioned was realistically achievable within their timeline. Together, we mapped out a plan, assembled an incredible vendor team, and began creating a celebration that felt elegant, welcoming, and unmistakably theirs.
Adding another layer to the process, Heather and Brandon were planning their Ohio wedding while living in Austin, Texas. Every design decision, vendor meeting, planning milestone, and logistical detail required thoughtful coordination from hundreds of miles away. Despite the distance, every piece came together beautifully—proof that with the right team and a clear vision, extraordinary celebrations can happen on any timeline.
From the beginning, Heather and Brandon envisioned a celebration that felt timeless, romantic, and inviting. Soft blush tones, layered florals, classic black-tie attire, and meaningful details created an atmosphere that felt elevated without feeling overly formal.
Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows on the grounds of The Grand Resort before transitioning into an evening designed to celebrate not only their marriage, but the people who had supported them throughout their journey.
As guests entered the reception space, the design story continued to unfold.
One of the defining design elements of the evening was the suspended floral installation positioned above the dance floor. Overflowing with blooms and greenery, it immediately drew the eye and established the atmosphere for the celebration ahead.
Rather than relying on a single focal point, the overall design was built through layers. Floral arrangements, candlelight, soft linens, and carefully selected details worked together to create a room that felt warm, romantic, and cohesive from every angle.
The head table became a natural gathering place throughout the evening—framing heartfelt toasts, shared laughter, and some of the couple's favorite moments of the day.
Throughout the ballroom, intentional details could be found at every turn. From custom menus and layered place settings to romantic florals and softly glowing candlelight, each element contributed to the overall experience without competing for attention.
The cake and dessert display reflected the same timeless aesthetic seen throughout the celebration, blending seamlessly into the overall design while providing guests with another memorable experience to enjoy.
As the evening continued, Heather and Brandon celebrated alongside family and friends in a room filled with joy, conversation, and genuine connection.
It was one of those weddings where the beauty of the design never overshadowed the reason everyone had gathered in the first place.
Before the evening came to a close, the couple stepped away for portraits on the grounds of The Grand Resort. The setting provided a beautiful backdrop for images that reflected both the excitement of the day and the beginning of their next chapter together.
In just over six months, Heather and Brandon transformed an ambitious timeline into a celebration filled with beauty, purpose, and unforgettable memories. Their wedding serves as a reminder that thoughtful planning, meaningful design, and the right team can accomplish remarkable things—no matter the distance.
